City's Rico hits out at visitors' defensive tactics
Cork City manager Damien Richardson has claimed opposition teams are paying City a compliment with their defensive tactics when they visit Turner’s Cross this season.
City are still looking for their first League home win of the season after draws with Bray Wanderers and UCD, though Richardson believes that teams are deliberately setting out to frustrate Cork.
“It’s a compliment but teams are coming to Turner’s Cross to defend. It’s up to us to break them down but, despite the results, I’ve learnt a lot about the players,” he said.
“Getting our first win at home is important and hopefully we can get it against a very good Drogheda team.”
