Spot of bother for Gerrard

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard is considering quitting the role of penalty taker after his latest miss against Tottenham hurt the Reds’ Champions League qualification hopes.

Skipper Gerrard returned to the side that had been European heroes against Juventus on Wednesday only to miss the spot-kick that meant Liverpool had to settle for a point. Now he is considering giving the job to someone else.
