Defeat means Waterford miss out on top spot

Robbie Martin earned UCD their first win of the season to stop Blues’ early charge in its tracks.

College took the game to Blues but didn’t get the breakthrough until the 64th minute.

Patrick McWalter got away down the right to cross and Martin fired past Packie Holden.

Damien Dupuy, skipper Tony McDonnell and Gary Dicker all wasted chances to increase UCD’s winning margin.
