McManaman earns Pearce support

Stuart Pearce is refusing to turn his back on Steve McManaman even though the veteran midfielder could be about to call time on his career.

After two seasons riddled by injury since his return to England from Real Madrid, McManaman is thinking seriously about retiring this summer.
