O’Flynn grabs points with late winner

Stephen O´Flynn proved to be Derry´s supersub to put them top of the Premier Divison table with a late winner.

A 77th minute replacement, O´Flynn, a close season signing from Cork City, struck when spinning to tuck home from Ruaidhri Higgins´ cross in what was the only real highlight of the second half.

Derry had created the better openings of the first half when Gary Beckett headed wide and Mark Farren brought a superb finger-tip save from Town keeper Stephen O´Brien.
