UEFA today confirmed Chelsea have been cleared over suggestions that fitness coach Rui Faria received telephone messages from banned coach Jose Mourinho during their Champions League game against Bayern Munich.

Spokesman Frits Ahlstrom revealed that the Barclays Premiership leaders would not face any investigation following the first-leg tie at Stamford Bridge which Chelsea won 4-2 thanks to goals from Joe Cole, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard, who netted twice.
