Chelsea remained tight-lipped today as speculation over the future of manager Jose Mourinho continued ahead of this week’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg against Bayern Munich at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho is understood to have demanded talks with Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon and chairman Bruce Buck over the club’s reluctance to appeal the two-match UEFA ban that forces the Portuguese coach to sit in the stands for both games.
