Atouba charged

Tottenham midfielder Thimothee Atouba has today been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association.

The Cameroon international is alleged to have swung an elbow into the face of Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton during Saturday’s meeting between the sides, with the City player needing stitches in a cut just above his eye.
