Cork take the spoils at Finn Harps
Finn Harps 0 Cork City 2
Cork enjoyed their long trip to Ballybofey as they came away with all three points.
City began well and George O’Callaghan missed a good chance after just three minutes when Harps keeper Gavin Cullen spilled a Liam Kearney cross.
But Harps had no further reprieve as Cork deservedly went in front on 25 minutes through John O’Flynn.
The City striker was felled by Shane Bradley and dusted himself down to shoot home the penalty.
Cork doubled their lead on 47 minutes when Kevin Doyle ran onto Joe Gamble’s ball to beat Cullen one-on-one.
