Birmingham right-back Mario Melchiot returns for Sunday’s Barclays Premiership clash with Aston Villa at St Andrews.

Melchiot has missed the last two games against Crystal Palace and West Brom with the ankle injury he suffered against Liverpool last month.

The Dutch international will replace Olivier Tebily, who is out for another two weeks after picking up a calf injury against Albion. Midfielder Darren Carter is also fit after making a successful comeback in the reserves following a hamstring injury.
