Tottenham go to Newcastle for their FA Cup quarter-final tie with a doubt over Egyptian striker Mido.

He failed to train today after a recurrence of a long-standing groin strain.

Martin Jol will make a late decision on the striker who is likely to undergo a fitness test tomorrow.

Jol is also without Pedro Mendes because of a broken toe but midfielder Sean Davis has recovered from his knee injury and will be included in Jol’s squad for the trip to Tyneside.

Davis has been sidelined for much of the season after undergoing surgery on the knee and may get a place on the bench but Andy Reid is cup-tied.

Provisional squad: Robinson, Cerny, Kelly, Pamarot, Gardner, King, Naybet, Edman, Atouba, Davies, Davis, Ziegler, Brown, Carrick, Defoe, Keane, Kanoute, Mido, Bunjevcevic.
