FA probe United conduct after Palace match

The Football Association are looking into events after the final whistle in Manchester United’s goalless draw with Crystal Palace.

United’s players surrounded referee Mark Clattenburg at the end of the Selhurst Park stalemate on Saturday – a result which saw Alex Ferguson’s team fall further behind leaders Chelsea in the Premiership title race.

Video evidence and Clattenburg’s report will be studied before the FA decides whether any action should be taken.

The visitors were apparently incensed that they were denied a penalty in the closing stages as they pushed for a winner.

Frustration clearly boiled over, and the conduct of United stars during that mass confrontation will be studied by the relevant powers at Soho Square.
