Delia delights in footie role

Television cook and soccer club director Delia Smith today said she was “just a passionate football supporter” after hitting the headlines with an impromptu rallying call to fans during a game.

Delia, who is on the board at Premiership club Norwich City, walked on to the pitch at half time in Norwich’s 3-2 home defeat by Manchester City on Monday and attempted to rouse the crowd by telling them: “Come one – let’s be having you”.
