Kluivert pushing for return

Newcastle striker Patrick Kluivert is pushing for a return to the starting line-up as he tries to shake off a groin injury.

Kluivert, whose last appearance saw him score the winner in a 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup last month, has sat out the last two games – against Heerenveen in the UEFA Cup and Bolton in the Premiership – with the problem.
