Reynolds contemplated quitting

Waterford United player-manager Alan Reynolds admitted he considered giving up the management job at the end of last season to concentrate fully on his playing career.

However, after much soul-searching Reynolds, 30, opted to continue combining the roles, much to the disappointment of Cork City and Shamrock Rovers who were both hoping to entice him away from Waterford.
