Blues to lodge complaint with UEFA
Chelsea are to submit an official complaint to UEFA about a half-time tunnel incident in their Champions League clash against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
No representative from Chelsea attended the post-match press conference after Jose Mourinho lost two games in succession for the first time since taking charge of the club last summer.
Chelsea spokesman Simon Greenberg said: “First of all our apologies that there are no members of the Chelsea management team or players talking after this game.
“We will be submitting an official complaint to UEFA about an incident that occurred at half time. That’s all I can say.”
Chelsea were left unhappy with Didier Drogba’s second-half sending-off for a second bookable offence, but they refused to elaborate on the reasons for their complaint.
