Students build up back-room in pre-season

UCD manager Pete Mahon has added Martin Russell and Paul Sommers to his backroom team for the coming season.

Russell has been out of football since last May when he left St Patrick’s Athletic where he was assistant manager. He is one of the most qualified coaches in Ireland while Sommers is highly regarded in schoolboy football from his time with Cherry Orchard.

Meanwhile, Aiden Lynch is training with the Belfield club after being released by Drogheda United, and he is hoping to join Damien Dupuy as new signings for the students this year.
