City hold Chelsea at half-time

Premiership leaders Chelsea were held to a goalless first half by Manchester City in today’s clash at Stamford Bridge.

It took some desperate defending from the visitors to keep Chelsea out, with David James saving well from Jiri Jarosik and Mateja Kezman, while William Gallas’ header was cleared off the line by Paul Bosvelt.

Robbie Fowler wasted City’s best chance, heading wide from close range as he looked for his 150th Premiership goal.
