Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho handed Czech Republic midfielder Jiri Jarosik a place in the starting line-up for today’s Barclays Premiership clash with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

With winger Arjen Robben injured, there was just one further change from the side which beat Blackburn at Ewood Park in midweek.

Tiago Mendes dropped to the bench, with Mateja Kezman starting. Joe Cole had to make do with a place among the substitutes.

City came into the game as the only side to have beaten Chelsea in the league so far this season, and they had Robbie Fowler leading the line as he looked to net his 150th Premiership goal.

Antoine Sibierski came into the City side, with Jonathan Macken dropping to the bench in the only change from the team which drew 1-1 with Newcastle.
