Leeds lead chase for Hulse
Leeds are hoping to complete the loan signing of West Brom striker Rob Hulse.
The former Crewe forward is currently in talks at Elland Road with a view to finalising a three-month deal.
Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell, who has already signed Blackburn defender Michael Gray on a similar deal today, is keen to add a quality striker to his squad following the departure of Nathan Blake, whose own loan stint was cut short by injury.
Hulse has recently turned down a £1.2m (€1.7m) move to Stoke, but his agent Steven Hughes has already confirmed Leeds are the type of club he was looking for.
The 25-year-old began his career at Gresty Road where he scored 45 goals in 97 appearances and was snapped up by West Brom for £750,000 (€1m) in the summer of 2003.
But despite finishing last season as the Baggies’ top scorer with 13 goals, he has made only seven appearances for them this season following promotion to the Premiership.
