Sky Blues move for Duffy
Micky Adams has made his first signing as Coventry manager by securing Portsmouth youngster Richard Duffy on a three-month loan.
The 19-year-old, who can operate in defence or midfield, joined Pompey a year ago from Swansea but has made just one substitute appearance.
The Wales Under-21 international spent two months on loan with Burnley earlier this season when he made nine appearances and scored one goal.
Duffy’s loan officially starts on Friday and he will go straight into the squad for City’s FA Cup fourth-round clash with Newcastle at St James’ Park on Saturday.
Adams said: “We’re delighted to have signed Richard. He’s a utility player who can play in a number of positions – in the centre or right side of defence or midfield – and he’ll add options to our squad.”
