Norwich unchanged for Boro match

Norwich boss Nigel Worthington named an unchanged line-up as the Canaries looked to end a seven-match winless run stretching back to December 11.

Given the injury situation at Carrow Road, Worthington had little choice as he remained without Thomas Helveg, Simon Charlton, Youssef Safri, Mathias Svensson, David Bentley, Ian Henderson and Darren Ward.

Worthington was at least able to recall Gary Holt to the bench following a seven-week absence during which he underwent surgery to remove a build up of blood from behind his lungs.

With Ugo Ehiogu out for up to three months with a knee injury, Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren opted to move Michael Reiziger to centre half, with Tony McMahon taking up the right-back spot normally occupied by the Dutchman.

In one other change to the team that draw 1-1 at home to Everton on Sunday, Ray Parlour returned from suspension, with Szilard Nemeth making way to the bench.

Norwich: Green, Edworthy, Doherty, Fleming, Drury, Jonson, Mulryne, Francis, Brennan, Huckerby, Ashton. Subs: Holt, Gallacher, McKenzie, McVeigh, Jarvis.

Middlesbrough: Schwarzer, McMahon, Reiziger, Southgate, Queudrue, Parlour, Doriva, Zenden, Downing, Job, Hasselbaink. Subs: Nemeth, Nash, Cooper, Morrison, Graham.

Referee: M Messias (S Yorkshire)
