Bates pledges backing for Blackwell

New Leeds chairman Ken Bates has vowed to give manager Kevin Blackwell the chance he craves to finish a job he only started in the summer.

Bates, under the guise of a Geneva-based company known as The Forward Sports Fund, has bought a 50% stake in Leeds for a figure believed to be £10m (€14.4m).
