Republic of Ireland Under-19s beat their Italian counterparts 2 -0 in a friendly at Bisceglie this afternoon.

The goals came in quick succession as Celtic's Diarmuid O'Carroll opening the scoring after 53 minutes.

Billy Clarke of Ipswich Town netted the second just before the hour mark.
