Premier League 'wise' to launch inquiry
Former Football Association chief executive Graham Kelly has welcomed an inquiry into the declining popularity of the Barclays Premiership.
Club chairmen and chief executives will reportedly examine issues including falling crowds, high ticket prices, saturation television coverage and the dominance of a few rich clubs.
Kelly told The Observer: “This is a timely move and the Premier League would be wise not to be complacent, as the warning signs have been there this season.
“The main issue is pricing. The high prices at certain grounds are unjustified and in some cases are deterring fans.”
