Real: We want Gravesen
Everton midfielder Thomas Gravesen looks destined for Real Madrid after the Spanish giants made an official approach to the Goodison Park club.
The Denmark international is free to sign a pre-contract agreement as his deal expires in the summer – when he can leave for free – but it appears Madrid want to take him to the Bernabeu in the current transfer window.
Gravesen’s agent John Sivebaek, has already held talks with Real officials about the possibility of the combative star moving to the Bernabeu.
The Toffees are desperate to hold on to Gravesen, who has been their best performer this season, but if reports of a £2m (€2.8m) bid for the 28-year-old are true it would be difficult for Everton to turn down.
A statement on Everton’s website www.evertonfc.com said: “Officials from Spanish giants Real Madrid have contacted their Goodison Park counterparts officially confirming an interest in Thomas Gravesen.”
