Valencia close gap on Barca

Claudio Ranieri’s Valencia moved to within seven points of Primera Liga leaders Barcelona and extended their unbeaten run to eight games with a 2-1 derby win over Levante.

After a scoreless first half, Ruben Baraja and Mista put the home side clear with far-post headers and although Edwin Congo’s reply prompted a nervous end to the game, Valencia held on.
