Liverpool tie postponed

Torrential rain washed out Liverpool’s FA Cup third round tie with Burnley at Turf Moor tonight.

Despite the efforts of the club’s groundstaff their glamour tie with the Barclays Premiership outfit had to be called off by referee Mark Clattenberg.

Tonight’s cup tie was the second Burnley match postponed within a week after their New Year’s Day home fixture was abandoned after 19 minutes because of heavy rain.
