Levein has heart set on Maybury and de Vries

Leicester manager Craig Levein has confirmed his interest in signing Irish international full-back Alan Maybury and Mark de Vries from Hearts.

Both players are out of contract at Tynecastle at the end of the season.

Levein knows the pair well having been in charge of the Edinburgh club prior to joining the Foxes in November.

Hearts boss John Robertson has already revealed the Foxes have made inquiries about the players’ availability and a deal has been negotiated.

When asked about his interest in the pair, Levein confirmed: “Yes, it’s something we’ve been working on. But it would be wrong to say too much at this stage.”
