Jamie Redknapp completes Southampton move

Jamie Redknapp has completed a move to Southampton after leaving Tottenham on a free transfer.

Redknapp signed a six-month contract and he now links up with his father Harry at Southampton.

The 31-year-old former England midfielder, club captain at White Hart Lane, has spent three years at Spurs since moving from Liverpool, making 53 first-team appearances and taking over as club captain from Teddy Sheringham in 2003.

Redknapp admitted he had decided on the move in order to get regular first-team football.
