One change for Charlton

After a gruelling Christmas schedule of four games in nine days Blackburn and Charlton made one change as they looked to bounce back from New Year’s Day defeats.

Blackburn boss Mark Hughes gave David Thompson his first start since August, at the expense of Steven Reid, with Rovers hoping to kick off 2005 with only their second home victory of the season.
