Beattie set for Everton switch

Southampton striker James Beattie is set to become an Everton player this week after agreeing terms at Goodison Park last night.

The Merseysiders will pay a club record £6m (€8.5m) for the 26-year-old England international after apparently beating Aston Villa in the race to sign the player.
