Baggies defender Moore faces Christmas lay-off

West Brom central defender Darren Moore has been ruled out of the Christmas matches with Liverpool and Manchester City.

Moore has not recovered from the knee injury which kept him out of the Baggies’ last two matches with Charlton and Birmingham City.

Albion boss Bryan Robson is now hoping Moore will be fit for either the clash with Bolton on January 1 or against Newcastle two days later.

He said: “Darren is still suffering with his knee but he is probably going to be alright for January 1 or January 3.”
