Reyes: Arsenal can do a double

Arsenal striker Jose Reyes predicts Arsenal can land a Champions League and Barclays Premiership double this season.

The Spaniard fears no-one going into tomorrow’s draw for the knockout phase of the Champions League, and has made winning Europe’s top competition his priority.

But he believes the Gunners can land the Premiership title too on their way to matching the record run of 49 league games unbeaten.

“I am dreaming about a European final,” Reyes told The Sun. “It doesn’t matter who our opponent is, we can win it.”

“I would opt for the Champions League if I had the choice between that and another league title – but we can win both.

“Everybody really wants to win the Champions League. We will see who we get in the draw, but it is up to us. Arsenal really can defeat anyone.”

Manchester United ended Arsenal’s 49-game unbeaten run in the league, but Reyes added: “We are capable of going on another run like the one we had.

“The coach prepares us well psychologically. The only thing that worries me is we are not top – but it is just a question of time. This team has always believed in itself.”
