County earn FA Cup glamour tie

Notts County earned an FA Cup third round clash with Premiership Middlesbrough after surprising Swindon in their second round replay tonight.

The Coca-Cola League Two strugglers overcame the League One promotion hopefuls 2-0 at Meadow Lane with a brace from striker Gavin Gordon.

Gordon opened the scoring with a sweet strike on the half hour before heading home the second two minutes into the second half.

Swindon’s misery was compounded three minutes from time when Grant Smith was sent off for a reckless tackle on David Pipe.
