Old Firm duo to learn fate
Celtic striker Henri Camara and Rangers forward Nacho Novo will hear today if they will face bans arising from last month’s Old Firm derby.
The Scottish Football Association’s disciplinary committee will meet at Hampden Park to discuss separate incidents involving the two players from the game on November 20.
Camara, in particular, faces heavy scrutiny after television pictures appeared to show him aiming a kick at on-loan Liverpool defender Gregory Vignal.
Novo could also find himself in trouble after landing on Stephen Pearson’s neck during the fiery encounter, even though he claims the incident was accidental.
Also on the agenda today are Hearts head coach John Robertson’s comments about referee John Rowbotham after their defeat to Motherwell on the same day.
Robertson was furious when Alan Maybury was sent off early in the game and the resultant penalty proved to be the decider.
