Chelsea still tops for Coleman

Chris Coleman still believes Chelsea will win the Barclays Premiership this season after watching his side put a further dent in Manchester United’s own title aspirations at Craven Cottage last night.

The Fulham manager predicted that Jose Mourinho’s side would go on to clinch their first title since the 1950s after the Blues mauled his side 4-1 in the league earlier this season.

After watching Senegal midfielder Papa Bouba Diop clinch a point for Fulham with a stunning 30-yard drive two minutes from time, Coleman has seen nothing to make him change his mind.

United had gone ahead in the 32nd minute through England international striker Alan Smith, but they paid a heavy price for their own poor finishing when Diop popped up with his late leveller.

United twice hit the post in the first half, with skipper Roy Keane thumping the left-hand upright and Wayne Rooney repeating the feat on the opposite side of Edwin Van der Sar’s goal.

Coleman said: “I think Chelsea will win the league from what I have seen.”
