Steve Bruce has handed Clinton Morrison a boost by telling the Birmingham striker that he will play in Sunday’s derby at Aston Villa.

Morrison had been relegated to the substitute’s bench for Saturday’s 3-0 defeat by Arsenal despite impressing in the previous match against Norwich.
