Larsson faces knee op tomorrow
Barcelona striker Henrik Larsson will undergo surgery on his injured left knee at Richard Steadman's famous Colorado clinic on Friday.
The 33-year-old Swedish international is facing at least six months on the sidelines after tearing the cruciate ligament in his knee during the 3-0 Primera Liga win over Real Madrid two weeks ago.
“Doctor Steadman has examined the knee and it feels good that he has decided the day and time for the operation,” former Celtic striker Larsson told Swedish newspaper Expressen.
Steadman has already successfully performed the same surgery on Larsson’s Barcelona team-mate Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
“I am looking forward to playing football to a high level again,” Larsson said. “That’s my optimum goal.”
