Forest keeper faces FA charge

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Paul Gerrard has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association following an incident during the Championship match at Millwall on October 3.

The former Everton keeper has been charged following gestures he made towards the Millwall supporters as he left the pitch at half-time.

A spokesman for the FA said: “We do have a system for fast-tracking disciplinary cases but this incident was not included in the match report so a number of witnesses had to be contacted and information collated.”

Gerrard has until December 15 to respond.
