Berkovic returns for Portsmouth

Eyal Berkovic was returned to the Portsmouth line-up as Pompey went looking for their second consecutive win since the departure of Harry Redknapp at Watford in the Carling Cup quarter-finals.

The Israel midfielder came in to the team which beat Bolton 1-0 at the weekend while veteran defender David Unsworth also returned after completing a suspension – Andy Griffin and Dejan Stefanovic were the two to miss out.

Watford were unchanged from the side which lost 3-2 at West Ham after leading 2-0 but were hoping to complete a south coast double after eliminating Southampton 5-2 in the last round.
