FA charge Hendrie with improper conduct

Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie’s sending-off against Manchester City at the weekend could result in a double punishment after the Football Association charged him with improper conduct.

Hendrie was dismissed for violent conduct by referee Mike Riley after he feigned a headbutt in the direction of defender Danny Mills.
