Alonso lifted by late, late victory

Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso believes his side’s last-gasp win over Barclays Premiership champions Arsenal will fill the team with confidence for the rest of the season.

Alonso fired home the opening goal on Sunday before Neil Mellor netted during injury time, with Patrick Vieira equalising for the Gunners in between.
