Fowler poised for City start

Robbie Fowler is standing by to make his first Manchester City start since the middle of September as Nicolas Anelka battles for fitness ahead of tomorrow’s match against Aston Villa at Eastlands.

Anelka limped out of the first half of last week’s win at Portsmouth after taking a kick and manager Kevin Keegan must determine whether his record signing has recovered sufficiently to take on David O’Leary’s men.
