Sammy McIlroy has left Stockport by mutual consent following a miserable start to their Coca-Cola League One campaign.

Sammy McIlroy has left Stockport by mutual consent following a miserable start to their Coca-Cola League One campaign.

Stockport are four points adrift at the bottom of the table and have won just two league games all season.

The former Northern Ireland coach took over at Edgeley Park from Carlton Palmer last October but the Hatters recorded just 14 victories in 58 matches under McIlroy.
