Bruce in race to sign Kuqi

Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce has admitted that he faces competition from several clubs in the race to sign Finnish striker Njazi Kuqi who has been on trial at St Andrews.

Bruce revealed that Blues “are in the early stages of negotiations” in attempting to sign the £500,000 (€715,500) rated Kuqi after 10 days training with the Midlands club during the Finnish close season.
