Keegan himself appeared confused about the precise nature of the charge yesterday when he revealed he would be writing a letter of apology to referee Steve Dunn for the comments he made privately in the tunnel after Sunday’s 4-3 defeat at Newcastle, but said he would fight any FA attempt to fine him for his emotional post-match comments to the media.
