Sinclair ready for City return

Trevor Sinclair is set to return to the Manchester City squad for the first time in four weeks against Newcastle on Sunday.

The 31-year-old midfielder has returned to full training following a nagging knee injury.

With Sun Jihai ruled out after damaging cruciate and medial ligaments in the victory against Chelsea, Steve McManaman could return to the starting line-up.

Robbie Fowler looks likely to be on the bench again with Jon Macken partnering Nicolas Anelka up front.
