Tottenham coach Jacques Santini has been left with a problem down the left flank as full-back Erik Edman and midfielder Timothee Atouba are both unavailable for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash with Bolton.

Edman is still recovering from concussion while Atouba suffered lateral knee ligament damage during Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat to Portsmouth on Monday.

With Mauricio Taricco suspended, Johnnie Jackson and Reto Ziegler will both come into contention for a start, while captain Jamie Redknapp will return to the centre of midfield after serving a one-match suspension.

Michael Carrick is likely to start from the bench again, while Santini also has Sean Davis available for selection as he works his way back from a knee injury.

Provisional squad: Robinson, Pamarot, Naybet, King, Carrick, Pedro Mendes, Mabizela, Davies, Davis, Redknapp, Jackson, Ziegler, Defoe, Keane, Kanoute, Gardner, Brown, Barnard, Sousa, Keller.
