Leaders Shels slip against dogged Bohs

Bohs injected some life into the title race with this rousing win to close the gap on leaders Shels to eight points.

Bohs charged out of the blocks, but missed a penalty on three minutes; Bobby Ryan shooting tamely at Steve Williams after Owen Heary had pulled down James Keddy.

Bohs remained on top however and deservedly took the lead on 26 minutes when Stephen Ward drilled home from 16 yards.

Glen Crowe sealed Bohs' win five minutes after the restart with his 15th goal of the season.

Bohs’ win adds spice to Friday’s meeting at Tolka Park.
